The Heavy Burden

I live for what they do not see...
A pain buried deep inside of me...

My soul is haunted in the night...
By the ones who hate what’s right...

I see them follow me in my dreams...
I feel them touch me with evil things...

They torment, they tug, they destroy love...
They hate me because of whom I love...

This one was sent unto me...
He was sent from beautiful things...

His soul is perfect; it's much like mine...
His heart is pure it's not simply dry...

He is my burden, though, I must admit...
Without him I would have more friends...

The friends who leave me though...
They'll never quite know...

What he is like...
He keeps me alive...

As I go through the night...
I think of him not in conscious mind...

Dreaming he comes to me every night...
I know him well, because of this sight...

As I sleep I need not wake...
To feel the pain of my friends who hate...

They hate him, why?..
I'll never know...

No matter what I'll keep him though...
No matter WHAT I'll keep him though...

Though he's still the Heavy Burden on my soul...
